Clothing Style:
Chie usually wears a green athletic jacket decorated with buttons over her school uniform in the colder monthes, and definitely has a preference for shades of green much of the time. Her clothes aren't flamboyantly feminine, but more of a cute. Tank-tops and other short-sleeved shirts are usually preferred, sometimes layered over each other.

Other than her 'trademark', buttoned green jacket, Chie often wears wristbands, and necklaces.

Personality:
Chie is generally a very kind, outgoing girl who is more than a bit of a tomboy. Usually energetic and upbeat, she does have a bit of a foul mouth from time to time, and is apt to react violently -albeit comically so- to certain (Yosuke) things. She has something of a 'prince' or 'hero' complex, protecting the weak, though she also desires to be seen well in the eyes of others. To this end, she's a bit self-conscious, and has a hard time figuring out what her good points are, nor does she think she's a 'pretty girl' (like Yukiko or Rise). She's quite worried about how she looks to others, and can hold a jealousy deep inside herself for those who are naturally well-liked.
Quite determined to get stronger physically, this also spreads to a desire to be stronger in a more internal sense. Though she realizes that while she claims to desire strength to protect others, its really to protect herself. Although she tries to be independent, reliable, and brave, and does a good job of it, she often relies on the people around her in order to be the 'strong, protective, Chie'. She feels some pride as a result of her defending others, which is a bit of her own ego and selfishness showing through, but realizing this she only tries to better herself more and accept herself.
Sometimes she can be a bit clumsy about showing her true feelings, but is honest, and known to be a dependable person, if sometimes a little brash. When it involves her friends, she'll do anything, even if she doesn't always think everything out all the way.
Timeline:
Climax-Persona 4, the last thing she remembers is being hit with 1000 Curses by Izanami-no-Okami...
History:
Chie comes from a normal enough family, a tomboy growing up who loved making groups and titles for herself, she'd lived in Inaba her entire life. When she was young, she met Yukiko, who had run away from her home when her family refused to let her keep a puppy she'd found. Chie offered to give the puppy a home, which now continues to live, old, fat and stinky, with Chie's family. As a result of this, she and Yukiko became good friends.
Ultimately, Chie served as a sort of 'prince' to Yukiko, protecting her from any 'stupid boys', of which there were always tons parading around after Yukiko. Chie saw this as her prized duty to her best friend, but deep down had a lingering resentment for Yukiko, who was so pretty and popular, herself wishing to be the one surrounded by the crowd. Still, with Yukiko being awkward around boys, Chie's 'protection' was invaluable, and Chie herself got to train and become stronger.
Chie has little problem making friends though, outgoing and genuine, she had a... debateable friendship with Yosuke, whom she bullies and picks on from time to time, and recieves the same in return from him, though in all in good nature, or so it would seem. She was also quick to befriend Souji Seta, and though she had some misgivings and fears about the Midnight Channel, was eager to solve the mystery of the murders and prevent others from falling victim.
The last thing she remembers is facing Izanami-no-Okami on the day of Souji's departure from Inaba... More precisely, being struck and dragged down by 1000 Curses...
