A perfectly normal height of 5'4.
WEIGHT:
120 lbs. Tell anyone and she'll punch you.
HAIR:
Suzu's hair has been described as a lion's mane. Thick and curly, it reaches down to her mid back. The color is hard to describe, it's a mixture of blonde, brown, and red. It's her natural color, despite popular belief. She takes good care of her hair; it's always soft and smells a little bit like cherry blossoms. Suzu loves trying out different hairstyles as well.
EYES:
Suzu's eyes are not red. They may look red, especially in low lighting, but they are not. They're actually a light shade of brown, with flecks of darker brown in them. Her lashes aren't as long or as thick as she'd like, but that's what mascara's for.
GENERAL STYLE:
For the most part, she wears her school uniform with a few edits. The skirt's shorter than regulation, she adds a bunch of accessories, but most people do. Other than that, Suzu has a weakness for cute clothing and pastel colors, so that's what you'll see her in.
EXTRAS:
There's not much here, unless you count the perpetual scowl on her face. Her facial expressions are always interesting and she blushes fairly easily, but that's it. Oh, she also has a small puckered scar on her waist, but she can't remember what it's from.
At the last moment their souls sing
Along haunting voices of lone shadows

OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Suzu's a very ambitious, driven young woman. She has certain goals in mind, and she fully intends to reach them. She's got high hopes for her future. She's determined to succeed. Some call her tenacious. She's the type of person who sees things to the end, unrelenting in pursuit. She's definitely hardworking. Suzu does not wait for things to fall into her lap. She takes the initiative, especially in learning situations. Adding to that is the fact that she's a quick learner, being able to grasp most concepts quite fast. Only if they interest her, that is. She's patient when it comes to people and events. Honestly, Suzu doesn't mind waiting. She knows that good things take time.
Suzu is fairly reliable, even though she may not seem so at times. She's dependable in a crisis and would do anything to help a friend out. Her nature tends to lean more to the cautious side. She's not a fan of taking random risks. She likes to weigh out the pros and cons in a situation instead of just charging ahead. Suzu is a fiercely loyal person, willing to do anything for her friends and family. She's like a dog that way; sticking to you through thick and thin. She's compassionate, something others have a hard time believing. She does care about others a lot, and tries her best to help them, albeit grudgingly. Deep down, she has a good heart.
Suzu is as sarcastic as they come. Not only does she find it highly amusing, the bitter, biting remarks have become reflex to her. She makes her displeasure known a not-so-aggressive way; it's great! She holds a rather cynical view of the world. The world is so full of crap. She doesn't really believe in the good of people or society. Suzu doesn't give people the benefit of the doubt often either. Suzu is immensely critical when it comes to not only herself but her peers as well. She's something of a perfectionist. And honestly, pointing out faults in others makes her feel a little better about her own faults.
Suzu is a mircomanager. She's very bossy because she thinks she's the only one who knows how to do things right. She likes to have control over everything. And when she doesn't get her way, she snaps. She's argumentative. First impressions matter a lot to Suzu. She sets a lot of stock by them, leading her to be judgmental. She tends to make snap decisions when it comes to people, and will very rarely change her mind. Suzu is a fairly proud individual. She looks down at some people. She's incredibly vain as well, although that stems from the fact that she is very insecure, although she covers all that up with bravado. She does not like it when people tease her, or are rude her. She takes these things to heart, and holy, it hurts. Part of the reason why she tries so hard and tries to be better is because she doesn't much like the Suzu she is right now.
She's far from quiet. No, while she may not be a social butterfly or the loudest one in the class, Suzu will not stay silent if she has something to say. That something is never very pleasant, but that's beside the point. She's opinionated and won't hesitate to share those opinions. Upon first meeting, Suzu comes off as cold and standoffish. She puts a wall up around herself because it's easier for her to go that way. She keeps to herself most of the time, since she has a hard time making friends. One has to wonder if she even tries... But if you can break through that wall, Suzu's a bit more kind and softens. Not by much though.
A curious trait of Suzu is that she worries so much, she works herself up. An overactive imagination coupled with a pessimistic mindset is never a good combination. Suzu imagines all sorts of horrible scenarios if someone's late to meet her. She doesn't take many risks because the consequences she imagines are, frankly, frightening. She tends to over analyze situations and people, fretting over signs and messages that aren't even there. In a misguided way, she's protective of those she loves.
CHARACTER TIME PERIOD:
Present.
HISTORY:
Suzu Ann Mikami came into this world at eleven pm on October the thirty first. It was storming outside, but her young parents didn't care. They were just happy that she was born safe, with all ten toes on her feet. From the start, she was a fine baby. A bit fussy who at times drove her mother to tears, but healthy and happy nonetheless. The Mikami family lived out in the countryside, so as soon as Suzu was old enough, she and her father would spend a lot of time outside in the fresh air. It was as if he was determined to turn Suzu into a tomboy, but she stubbornly clung to her Barbie dolls. Sports were icky.
When Suzu turned four years old, her parents sat her down and told her that she was going to have a baby sister. She didn't quite understand this concept at the time. It took an hour to explain everything to her, but once that was over with, Suzu was excited. A baby sister was just like a baby doll right? Yet when little Chizuru came along, she found out that it was nothing like having a baby doll. For one, her parents would allow her to feed the baby, or dress her up in her old dollie's clothes, or change her diapers. And everyone was focused on Chizuru. No one cared when Suzu caught a cold, or when one of her teeth came out, or when she finished reading a book all by herself.
She was jealous of all the attention her little sister got. It was something that never eased up even as the two grew older. Chizuru's body was weak, so everyone fussed over her while Suzu was left sulking in the corner. She tried her hardest when it came to schoolwork, hoping that her parents would notice and praise her academic prowess, but no luck. This made her bitter towards her little sister and their relationship was strained at best. Honestly, Chizuru admired her older sister though, and could never understand what was bothering her.
Suzu took advantage of that a few times, namely urging Chizuru to climb the big tree by the schoolyard. She did, and also fell off it. She managed to break her leg. Suzu was rightly blamed by her parents. Of course she felt awful about it and apologized to her sister, but things between them changed after that. Suzu was no longer so jealous and bitter, but Chizuru didn't idolize her sister anymore. And their parents? They didn't trust Suzu that much after that, and became much more protective of their younger daughter.
Since it was a small community, rumours and stories spread fast until Suzu was someone adults looked at with mixed feelings. It stung, but she did her best to ignore it. She had decided that she was going to get out of here. Throwing herself into her schoolwork, Suzu was dreaming of scholarships to prestigious universities, fabulous careers, and travelling all around the world. Those dreams were crushed when her mother fell victim to breast cancer. Suzu was fifteen at the time.
It would have been easier if she'd just fallen sick and died, but it was a slow process. There were surgeries, numerous treatments and agonizing doctor's visits until the verdict was finally delivered. There was no way to save her; she had a year left. The hardest part was watching her mother slowly waste away. Even though Suzu had never been very close to her, it hit her hard and made her regret a lot of the choices she'd made in the past concerning their relationship. And then she was dead, and there was no way to fix anything.
During the illness period and after her mother died, instead of seeking solace in each other, the Mikamis grew apart. There was no period of bonding, so self actualization. They were just as they'd always been, but broken and aimless, searching for something, anything that could keep them from falling apart. Then Suzu's father got transferred to Iwatodai. In a way, this was exactly what she'd wanted. To get out of here. But not like this.
Once they'd moved, Suzu and Chizuru's relationship did evolve a bit. Their father was always working so it was often just the two of them. Chizuru was hit harder than anyone by the events that had transpired. Over awkward dinners and breakfasts, the two took slow baby steps towards reconciliation, but they know they'll never be as close as some other siblings are. Herself, she remains very much introverted. She's had some time to move on, and she's starting to. Those goals and hopes and dreams she'd locked up have surfaced again.

Also, it's suggested that, if you took a Persona from our Adoption Thread, you should post there to claim it so there's no trouble later. Once you claim it there, you can say you got it from there in the actual Persona Claim List.
