OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Victor always had a strong sense of honor, and when his mind was set on something he thought was right, he would pursue it endlessly. Always determined, he would work with people on his side until a goal was reached.
Well, he was until the event with his brother.
Since then, he's developed serious trust issues, and it would be a wonder if he hadn't. In a short-term relationship, like helping someone with an immediate task, he can be patient and kind. The longer he knows someone, though, a sort of paranoia builds in him. Even if the person seems to be his best friend, he will internally question their motives and be wary when near them. He never lets his guard down. Victor may relax visually, but mentally, he's always prepared to snap into defense-mode.
His now-warped views of things like honor makes him come off as very pessimistic- which he is- and he can have a short temper when it comes to things of that nature. Despite this short temper, though, he can physically control himself, so there's never any random acts of violence.
CHARACTER TIME PERIOD:

HISTORY:
Victor was born to his parents in the small country of Talom, located in the heart of the Middle East, in the midst of a revolution. He had a brother, Emin, who was only a few years older than him. They were very close, and Emin did anything he could to protect his little brother. He taught Victor how to fight, which was necessary. Their country was in the midst of a serious revolt and revolution... And their parents were some of the most active revolutionaries in the whole country.
From a young age, Victor had to be very careful to stay hidden and stick with his family. He was no stranger to gunfights, explosions, death, and other such things. It's all to be expected during a revolution. His parents attempted to be peaceful at first, around the time their children were born. The fighting quickly escalated, and it became that peaceful means were impossible. The Khachadur family ran and hid frequently, and Victor had to get accustomed to this hard life.
Emin taught him Muay Thai, a brutal martial art, to defend himself if he had no weapons. Whenever they had free time, an open space, and didn't need to be resting, they would spar. It was a way for them to have some fun and get exercise in their usually difficult and dangerous life.
With their parents being core revolution leaders, the two of them became idealistic and focused on what their parents were fighting for. The government and its military were evil, unjust dictators, and their family, along with the revolution, were fighting to make Talom a better place for everyone. The close-knit rebels made Victor incredibly idealistic and trusting. Either he couldn't trust someone, or he could trust his life to them. The person who he trusted the most was his older brother, Emin. As they got older, Emin went off by himself more frequently, but Victor trusted he would come back with helpful information, or having completed a goal that would aid the rebels.
The revolution continued for years, with the rebels and the government at a stale-mate. Victor had grown, and become a leader alongside his parents. He was appointed to be a new head leader one tragic day after the death of his parents.
They had been out fighting, and were entrentched in a building in a key position in the capital. The government had kept a weak offensive going to keep the rebels inside the building as they sent agents around the building to plant explosives at key structual points. After this was completed, the military pushed from all directions, forcing the people inside to flee up into the higher levels of the building. Suddenly, the soldiers retreated. Unknowingly, the rebels stayed on the upper floors, believing it was a better vantage point to fire at the military. Suddenly, the explosives were set off.
They didn't have a chance.
The building collapsed. They fell down multiple floors below before being crushed by the falling floors above.
The news stunned Victor, and he initially denied the head position. Surely, his brother was more suitable for it. The other rebels, however, held doubts for Emin. He was gone more frequently than before, and they felt he was scheming. Victor trusted him, though. He held more trust in his brother than the rest of the rebels did combined. They'd grown up together, risked their lives together, been through countless near-death situations together. Victor also believed Emin would make a better leader. The rebels disagreed, and after a lot of convincing (and in Emin's absence), Victor reluctantly accepted the position.
Victor made an effective leader, making good use of their available resources and manpower. Under his direction, the revolution seemed to finally be making some headway. They'd controlled several key areas in the capital with minimal losses and were able to capture an outstanding amount of equipment. After a long discussion one day, Victor decided to make Emin his second in command. They discussed all the details of plans together before implementing them. On paper, the plans seemed largely better and more efficient than any used before. However, in practice, it seemed as if the military was waiting for them, prepared, and somehow had detailed schematics of all of their plans. This didn't seem to make any sense. Victor was confused, as he should have been, and requested to talk to his brother.
They went on a long walk in an area away from any fighting. They talked for a long time about everything. From their childhood, their parents, their upbringing, to the revolution, what they were fighting for, what they were fighting against. To Victor's surprise, Emin seemed to disagree with a large amount of what they'd been fighting for. He seemed as if he almost supported the government, and wanted to snuff out the revolution.
Turns out, he was.
Victor turned his attention from his brother for a few seconds, and was attacked. The sheer surprise of the attack- and who was attacking made Victor almost unable to defend himself. Emin beat him within an inch of his life. Victor looked up weakly at his brother.
"I thought it was us or them...? Is it us, or them...?"
His brother knelt down, looking at his brother with cold, uncaring eyes.
"Me or you, brother."
Ruined, physically, mentally and emotionally, Victor laid there. He had lost the will to try and live. Emin believed his brother was as good as dead, so he left. The revolution was to be crippled by the loss of multiple leaders in such quick succession. The Kachadur family, who had always led them, was gone. The one remaining member had betrayed them and joined the side of the Talom Government. Their will was crushed. Gone. They could no longer win. In time, the government fully surpressed the revolution, and the Talom Dictatorship returned to its former power before the uprising had begun so many years ago.
Victor, however, wasn't dead. A man walking by had noticed him, and realized he was still living. Not caring who he was, he brought Victor to a hospital nearby. He was in a coma for months and taken care of under a fake name whilst the government worked on rooting out possible remaining resistance leaders. When he woke up, he had been left with a large scar on his face. As if the betrayal of his brother hadn't distraught him enough, the news of the resistance falling to ruin put him in a state of disbelief. What was left for him now? If anyone knew who he truly was, he'd be killed instantly for fear that he would try to begin another revolution. He spoke to the man who saved his life, who introduced himself as Fadil. He produced two tickets that left for a place in Japan almost immediately. Victor didn't question, and boarded the plane, but did question his reason for living now.
What was there for him to do? His only remaining family member, who he'd trusted more than anyone, had attempted to kill him, and undid all the work they had done in their entire lives. During the trip, Victor analyzed every little thing in his mind, and was confused. He couldn't trust anyone now. At least he felt he shouldn't. If someone like his brother was capable of betrayal, everyone was, in his mind. He had no idea why he was still going on with the trip. What waited for him in Japan? He knew nothing about the world outside Talom. Iwatodai would have been a huge culture shock for him if he wasn't concerned with other things.
He was soon discovered by KAFIR to have the potential for a persona. His was one named Uriah, and with time, he became proficient in summoning it through sheer force of will. There was something here that was familiar to him. Fighting. Fighting shadows during some Dark Hour. He had enough ideals left not to attack innocent people, but his sense of trust and what should be of society were desperately warped. This allowed him to do something, and apparently help something in the process. Victor was unsure of KAFIR's goals, but stayed alligned with them. After all, they were a source of the suppressants he apparently needed to take to retain control of his persona.
Victor's health declined slightly from the use of the suppressants, but strong as he is, he ignores it as best he can and deals with it. There's no other alternative, is there? He knew nothing about these persona, but KAFIR did, so as far as he was concerned, he had to listen to what they said.
