GENERAL STYLE: When not in her school uniform, she usually wears smart, chic clothing; cute but sophisticated dresses and skirts. Every once in a while, if shes in a certain mood, she may pull out her age old "favorite outfit" of baggy pants boys pants and a dark tanktop, but for the most part she tries to appear a bit more 'refined' and adult. EXTRAS: Has a thin scar along the back side of her neck, usually hidden by hair. Its only about two and a half inches long, and quite thin, like a claw mark. (That isn't to say she cuts her ties with friends, just hops around between them.) - Physical - Shes not afraid to touch people, i.e., hugging people she loves, or smacking people upside the head that shes annoyed with. However, theres of course much more to it; when pressed, she can become a bit violent as well, and is known for getting into fights. - Selfish - She believes that the only person she can really depend on is herself, and as such, will do anything and everything to look out for number one. That isn't to say she doesn't care for others, but if somethings in the way of her well-being, she'll do anything to take it out. Likewise, if something precious to her is threatened, she will defend those as well as a result of this selfish nature. - Solitary - Despite having reasonably good socializing skills, Noa isn't usually capable of readily accepting help from others whatsoever. She doesn't feel like she needs to rely on anyone, either, nor does she trust others, and is perfectly content with being on her own, which can sometimes leave her as rather blunt and harsh. - Impatient - This is mostly directed towards herself, though at is peak it can spread out to others as well. She always feels the need to push herself, harder and faster, to achieve her goals quickly and skillfully. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Despite having a very feminine appearance, both physically and in clothing style, this is mostly to balance out her tomboyish nature. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty, nor stoop to a fight, though she is quite sophisticated about it and keeps a level-head on her shoulders, undesireful to slander her name. Of course, thats a bit tricky, as she doesn't much care for the opinions of other people to begin with, but still seems to have a very set image in her head of herself that she wishes to convey to others, 'Strong, independent, sophisticated, calm...' Though she may appear rather callous at times, and her words are sometimes blunt, this is mostly because she sees no point in skirting an issue, and prefers a certain degree of honesty in everything. Despite sometimes coming across as a serious person, she recognizes her youth and has no qualms about spoiling herself for her own amusement. She actually has a passion for studying, namely things that interest her such as occult, history, and such. She can be a little disillusioned, and hides herself to the very end. Underneath all the walls shes built up, and all the pretty wrapping shes put them under, she has dreams and aspirations for a happy life. Beneath her cynicism and disbelief, a romantic who believes in fantasies. Still, she desperately tries to tell herself theres no place for that kind of person in the harsh world, and can speak rather blunt and abusively, and won't at all refrain from picking on someones weak spots. This could be a result of her own self-loathing, for slowly killing all the parts of herself that believed in the world... She believes that by placing no trust in others, and not depending on them, she'll never be disappointed by them. Also, though rare for the "independent, selfish" girl, she can actually become quite loyal and dedicated if theres something or someone she deeply believes in. CHARACTER TIME PERIOD: Current. HISTORY: Noa was born in America, her father American and her mother Japanese. She had an older sister, Kaori, who, though she idolized as a small child, she rarely got along with in their later years, always feeling that she was an immature person who was never grateful for the sacrifices their parents made for them. Her sister ended up getting into a lot of trouble, hanging out with bad crowds, wrecking their vehicles, and lieing, and was, as Noa understood, a wholly unsympathetic type of person who couldn't understand the pain of others, especially that of their parents that Kaori caused. As a result, Noa was vigilant do well, kept inside often, and didn't try to make friends, wishing only to lessen the emotionally stressing burdens of her parents whom she loved dearly. Still, despite herself, Noa loved to read and had a natural charisma to her that brought about good friends for much of her life growing up. Her parents loved and spoiled her, and she had big dreams, though as her sisters bad habits increased, she slowly withdrew into her own world and kept away. When she was fifteen, her grandmother passed away, and her family flew to Japan to attend the funeral. Noa was well studied and familiar with the other half of her lineage, her mother insistent on keeping her aware of it. In fact, though Kaori was rebellious against it -like everything her parents did- Noa took to learning about Japanese lifestyles, culture, and the language throughout her youth, and so her mother spent a great deal more time happily teaching her. As such, she was eagerly enthralled by actually coming to Japan, despite the somber circumstances. She'd never been very close to her Japanese-side of the family, but she was suddenly heart-broken to leave. To her, it felt like she'd come home for the first time, despite having never been there... To her, it felt like all those fairy tales she kept locked away in a secret part of herself could actually come true in this place. Like she could be reborn here. Then, it came to be discussed that their grandmothers home, something precious to the family, had no one to take care of it. Noa argued passionately that they should take it, though Kaori of course was against it, wanting to get back home. Their mother was all for it, and their father, the only one who really needed convincing one way or the other, quickly saw it as an opportunity for renewal, and hopefully, the change would allow Kaori to get her life straightened out. Yet even two years later,a tension still persists, and though she's given herself a new image, she doesn't actually feel any different than she was before...
