Let's see now.... The above traits are rather obvious so how about I describe some habits, mannerisms, and quirks of hers. Hikari is the type of person that tries to avoid any and all unnecessary confrontations. Due to her sarcastic and cold nature, people tend to avoid her. She likes it that way though. What's a little a loneliness if you can avoid having your heart broke? Okay a lied about that, Hikari is actually very lonely. She wishes that she could have some sort of social interaction but she constantly pushes people away. She hides her true thoughts and emotions under a mask of ice and sarcasm. The true Hikari is a rather fun loving and creative person. She loves live and her passion is art. The only time that her mask of ice and sarcasm cracks is when she's around children. They remind her of a time when she was that carefree. Hikari desperately wishes to return to the way she once was. Can an ice queen with a broken heart ever open her heart back up to others though?

History:
Hikari wasn't always an ice queen. There was a time when she very fun loving and carefree. That would all change when she was just ten years old. It was a nice summer day and she was excited since her dad would be coming home that day from the army for a few months. After a whole day of trying to play with her daddy and showing him her newest drawing, Hikari settled in to go bed. Her dad came into her room at midnight that night. She thought that was odd since he'd always come in to check in on her a little after nine whenever he was home. She also noticed that as he came closer to her that he smelled funny, she'd figure out later that that was the smell of alcohol. When he spoke, she noticed that his words were slurring together as well. She couldn't tell much of what he said. The next thing she he was on her bed and was reaching his hands up her shirt. She froze not knowing what was about to happen. Her father took advantage of this and raped her then and there. After that he told her that he'd hurt mom if she told anyone. Eventually this became a constant in her teenage life. Every few nights her father would be drunk in the middle of night. Eventually she came to expect this and she began numbing herself to this. Soon she began to close her heart off to others, becoming an ice queen. The last time she saw her father was when she was fourteen, a year before her dad had been officially declared dead.
for a long while she was able to keep up her mask of ice. Everyone in her school started to avoid her in her school when she was fifteen. The new school year was starting just the day after her dad died. She had no friends in her school so she kept to herself. Only one person ever tried to brave that mask of ice to get to know her, the real her. His name was Gabriel Crest. At first she wouldn't talk to him but eventually she began to open up to him. He eventually broke through her mask of ice and saw the real her. That's when their relationship truly started, two months after they met. One night she told him about her getting raped by her dad. Gabriel gasped and was about to go call the police before she told him that her father was dead. Instead, he suggested that she take self defense classes. It turns out that she was an quick learner and she passed the course in three months before attempting karate. Three more months later and her fighting skills would be proven to the test. It was around midnight and Hikari was walking home with Gabriel from the movies. Seemingly out of nowhere, three men, who looked a lot like thugs, surrounded them. One was holding an handgun and the other two had switchblades. They demanded that she give them all of her money and valuables. When she refused, the leader fired two rounds at Gabriel, one hitting his shoulder and the other hitting his chest. Gabriel fell crumpled to the ground moment later. Hikari saw rush at this and rushed the leader. She knocked the gun out of his hand. Once that was taken care of, Hikari was easily able to knock them unconscious. Once that was taken care of she quickly took out her cell phone and dialed 911. When she got to the hospital with Gabriel she found out that the second bullet narrowly missed his heart. Gabriel died in the hospital that night. Hikari spent weeks crying over his death. When her mom, twin brother, cousin, and herself moved to Inaba she promised herself that she'd never leave her heart unguarded like that again.
