General Style:
Meili generally wears her high school uniform. Nothing really modified. Due to the fact that Meili's mother sometimes goes clothes shopping to make her look presentable she does technically have some range of outfits to choose from. Meili does tend to wear a few specific favorites. Each for her different 'images'

When her glasses are on and her hair is tied into braids, she wears a light blue sundress. To compensate for the lack of sleeves she wears a thin purple hooded coat, during the summer she mainly wears regular sneakers. During the winter time she wears a dark red winter skirt (with long socks underneath) and an orange long sleeve. She wears a large dark blue coat for extra warmth. For this outfit it's black snow shoes for foot wear.

When the glasses are off and her hair is down, she wears a lot more casually. Meili wears a dark purple short sleeve shirt and jeans as well as black sandals for foot wear on warm weather occasions. For cold situations she wears a long dark blue shirt and long black pants. She still retains the coat from her previous outfit.

Meili wears red framed glasses for far sighted people. She also has hair ties to keep her hair in two long braids. However those accessories are for her public front. She constantly wears a black hair band however....

Overall Personality:
Things in Meili's life has taught her that she must have one important thing in life. Thus she has to have a public front to maintain. When she has her glasses on and her hair in braids she is the standard image of the soft, nice, intelligent but beautiful girl. She is soft and peaceful. Meili seemed like the type of girl who would help anyone out. She also seemed to have a type of grace around her as she spoke and moved. However a public front is a public front. Her soft, peaceful, and graceful nature is nothing more than an act to make herself look better in the eyes of others.

Meili's true personality is much more pessimistic and displays signs of being annoyed with others or unsatisfied with something. On the positive sign of things, she does display signs of being more easy going. She keeps these thoughts locked deep away when maintaining a public front. Meili, however, has difficult handling her stresses and negative thoughts, thus she has to release them at some point. She handles in this in a multitude of ways.

Her true personality is more of a shut in. She often spends time on the internet. Now now, she doesn't nerd rage,bitch on the internet, or troll, that would just be bad taste and pointless. She mainly is on there for research on her little hobbies (Examples being modifying Nerf Guns, bows , and computer science) as well as be more her true self.

However, she does display some traits contradictory to that of a shut in. For one she does like looking at antiques, going to manga cafes, and most of all she enjoys karaoke. However the last part is something that she really genuinely tries to hide. It does kind of embarrass her.

Meili takes heavy interest in putting things together and controlling the things she put together. She has a few nerf guns or toy guns in general that she customized and modified. She has an interest in modified long range weapons so she modifies her bow too. Meili has recently took an interest in computer science and thus likes building computers and such.

All the things she does when she isn't putting up her public front is nothing more than a release however. Karaoke gives her the excuse to scream, and customizing toy guns and bows gave her the right to imagine firing them. Meili is just one of those people who needs to release built up stress. Something of which Meili herself seems to find shame in. She also tends to cry when ever she feels intense anger or sadness, or any intense emotion in general. Another thing she hates about herself seeing as how tears and words have done nothing for her really.

History:
Meili was born to a Taiwanese couple in Yangmei, Taiwan. The moment she could even learn to speak for herself she was expected to do great things. High expectation was placed on her even as a child in hopes that she would get a stable future. Meili was at first a joyful little child though, naive to what everything was in store for her and always willing to learn or play along with others.

Meili however...was considered strange. Instead of playing ball she would be more interested in playing around with tools, and instead of reading bed time stories she would want to read about putting things together. She was considered like a robot to the other kids. It eventually escalated to bullying that followed her.

Meili at first thought that if she was nice and asked them to stop, they'd do so, but it only continued. For a while, she endured it. It was her fault for being strange right? But she still can't help bu tot get mad at them. It all accumulated to one point. Meili was again picked up, even have a book thrown at her to make her go away even though all she wanted to do was to pass by so she could get to the classroom. Eventually she snapped. She took the book thrown at her and started beating the one who thrown it at her even when the boy in question begged her to stop. It all finally stopped when she noticed the teacher's hand on her wrist.

Things only went further down hill. Her parents had to come into apologize. Meili was scared completely out of her mind at what she has done. Since then everyone has been afraid and paranoid. It thankfully didn't do too much to Meili or so it seemed. She started to become more and more of a shut in. Often taking an interest in internet forums and such. She also grew a like for trajectory. She studied on how to modify bows and eventually 'graduated on' to modifying toy guns.

One thing caught Meili's eyes before she had heard about her parents moving to Japan. She noticed that someone had a book thrown at her but unlike her own case, a group of people defended her. She eventually decided she should take interest in that someone and as it turns out, the person she researched, just some random girl, is actually quite popular. Again she wondered. Aside from being popular and have traits that are like-able to others, there was no different between Meili and this particular person. Meili then drew a new concept of life. The reason why she was picked on...was because she was not likable. Nothing more than an acceptable target. That girl was likable and she wasn't. It had to be the only explanation to what happened to her.

The Jie family eventually moved over to Japan. It had education and plus some of the Meili's other relatives live there. It was also a new slate for Meili. She has the opportunity to reinvent herself and so she took the chance. Meili read books and manga (ok rather poor references but she had to read something on the way from Taiwan to Japan) She wanted to be nice and likable. Not just another acceptable target for everyone else to pick on.

Before Meili moved into her home in Japan, as she waited being picked up by her Aunt, she bumped into someone. It was raining so her hair was a little messed up. That someone then said that she was just like the rain. Sad looking and washing everything away. Meili didn't bother to remember that someone but she remembered the words all too well. That someone was right. Rain is sad and depressing. Not very people want it. It makes things dirty, it causes metal to rust faster. However...Rain also brought life, it makes plants grow right? Meili is still confused if she should take the words as positive or not.

Meili reinvented herself the first year of high school and the first year in Japan. She was now the ideal image of what Japan called a "meganekko". She became far sighted and thus got glasses and braided her hair.

Meili though had problems upholding this image. It meant being a complete door mat for others and having to agree with them. It was nice being free of bullying...but she desired to be herself. Even when she saw others being bullied she can do nothing about it. If she stood up for them and helped them she'd be labeled a target as well.. The only real time at school she could come close to being herself is when she does archery. The rest of the time she has for herself she has to study and make mommy and daddy as proud as possible. She doesn't have very many releases of her stresses aside from archery, internet, karaoke, and fiddling with computers and nerfguns.

Meili was on the edge again. But she didn't want to give in to her anger like she did before. However it doesn't help that her parents are pressuring her more and more lately because of colleges, not to mention it seemed school life is getting harder and harder to handle to the point where she had to quit archery just to manage her own daily routine.

Meili was on the verge of not being able to take it anymore...however she did meet someone that turned her life into a slightly more positive direction. She was walking by the street and noticed a boy moving into the dorms. The boy simply said hello and started a conversation with her. Meili didn't know what to say...what to do. All this time she just tried to appeal to others, usually having to be the one to say hello herself. Not the other way around. She was...glad, that someone out there is ok with who she was as a person. It gave her some hope.

Meili entered her third year into Gekkoukan High. It was...going to be a slightly more positive year since she has someone in real life she could feel that was true friend to her.
