HISTORY:
Kameyo was born in Houston, Texas, to a fresh pair of parents happily coupled for ten years. Her ethnicity is uniquely mixed; her father is a mix of African and Hispanic-American, while her mother is a blend of Caucasian and Japanese-American. Her parents were longtime colleagues in high school and lived as apartment buddies during college, where their love finally consummated after an uneasy strife between their families. When the couple graduated they cut off all ties to their families as they feared their child would be a rejected bonding of blood, so as Kameyo grew up, she knew nothing of her background. Though she found it odd, she didn't seem interested in finding out anyway, and the thoughts were still dismissed.

Her father is a freelance traveling photographer, taking work whenever and wherever he could; the family settled in Los Angeles, California for fourteen years before moving out to Iwatodai City. Kameyo was very close to her father, as he would take her with him in his travels whenever he could, especially during the summer. It is through him that she gained a love for photography as well, considering it a possible career choice. Her appreciation of landscapes and nature stems from her father, whose roots come from his own; as the son of a cowboy born from New Mexico, the ranch life formed Kameyo's grandfather into a strong, skilled horse rider who cared for his lands as much as his descendants. Often Kameyo's father told her about his parents, both incredibly strong through the hardships they faced, his mother especially. Born into the typical dark community in Las Vegas, she had to deal with the ghetto and street thugs, and once almost being raped. It was through her savior, her husband-to-be, that she moved into New Mexico and developed a strong personality that seemed to favor the rural life. Kameyo often thinks about her grandparents and makes them one of her main inspirations. Her father taught her a bit of Spanish, but she isn't very knowledgeable on the language, though she tries to study every now and then.

Her mother, however, is a different story. As the first born child of a group of five in Houston, she was, naturally, expected to be the greatest of her parents' pride. Kameyo's mother handled this duty efficiently well, becoming a hermit throughout her middle school life and lacking little to no friends. Affected by the stereotypical racism from other kids, an occurring fight led her to suspension, and into a very heated argument with her parents. This marked the birth of eternal strife between them, so much so that Kameyo was never told about her mother's parents. Her mother began to rebel her family and never told him what she would do in her spare time, which was taking self-defense classes in preparation ahead for becoming a police officer. Around this time both she and her husband-to-be's families moved to the same location, Arizona, and where they fatefully met up. From then on, it was history; both parents decided to live together as they attended separate colleges, and fell in love, despite the family tensions. Kameyo's mother has a work schedule that keeps her away from her daughter, yet they still love and respect each other for the dear moments they share. She passed on her self-defense training onto Kameyo for protective measures, which her daughter seemed to have a knack for. Her mother also passed on her hard shell of a personality.

Kameyo herself had an interesting life. Her manichaeistic morals and views stems from her parents, and fairytale movies and books she saw as a child. She enjoyed her childhood like any other, but more in the tomboy sense. She would pick fights with the other boys just for the fun of it, making her much more popular in the male community than the female. At one point she got her baby tooth knocked out early when one of the boys went too far and beat her face with a medium-sized rock; when the bleeding ended after many hours, she got a fine spanking from her mother that shaped her into better sense from then on. Her fighting spirit still hasn't faded, however. Coming in balanced touch with her two personalities, she became a noble young lady that focused on her duties first, and would only attack if necessary. She still isn't sure about her future by the time her father decided to move to Iwatodai City.
