Akinari is a softspoken, kind young man. He is not one to raise his voice often or assault someone verbally. However, he gives off the impression of being cold and indifferent and with his appearence, it causes people to stay clear of him. And since he has difficulty expressing himself or understanding those around him, it's a bit of a welcomed loneliness. However, Akinari will begin to open to someone once they hold a conversation with him long enough, proving to be a good friend who will always listen.

He has a habit of sounding poetic at times but it's just the way he enjoys expressing himself.

When Akinari was born, his death was set in stone. He was diagnosed with incurable life-threatening genetic disease and was not expected to live long. His illness caused him to take long hospital stays and dreadful medicine, of which did nothing to truly loosen the clutch the disease had him in, only the pain. Because of all this, he grew up to be a depressed young man, cursing his life and confused as to why he was born at all. It seemingly had no meaning; he was born on this to live a short, painful life. What was god's plan in that?

His outlook on life, however, changed when he met a fateful person.

A normal, healthy teenager; who visited the shrine to play with a child began to speak with him. It was a pleasant diversion; the person was intelligent and Akinari didn't hold many chances to speak with others near his age. He did not expect their conversation to become the first of many, nor did he expect to receive such a great friend. But he did, and he was grateful for that.

Through this person, Akinari was able to reflect upon his life, the world around him and even the meaning of existence. Suddenly, life was not so painful. His life was still short but everyone died eventually. His end would just come sooner than others and he accepted that. Instead, he enjoyed what life brought to him and what he was able to give to others; through that, he found a reason for his existence and just what exactly the meaning of life was.
And he was able to transform all that he learned from his friend, into one book. A book about two friends with a bittersweet ending... a book he gave to that cherished person before fading away with a smile.

Although Akinari accepted his death, he found himself in Iwatodai once again. His mother acted as he never died, his illness was seemingly gone.. although he was still weak and somewhat sickly.. He did not know how long time had passed here. He did not understand if this was still earth or some version of heaven.

All he knew was that he wanted to meet that person again.

But with flashes of red and blue.. he couldn't even recall their face, name or gender...

But he decided to keep looking with this second chance.
