Personality:
Akumu initially comes across as a lover, a jovial and outgoing young man full of youthful optimism. Somehow, though, he doesn't seem to have a whole lot of friends, though it wouldn't seem he'd have trouble making them. More often than not, he doesn't invest further time with people, so he's mostly just a "universal acquaintance", or at least thats how he sees himself. He doesn't really mind, either, considering his twin sister, Yume his best friend, and the only one he really needs. Still, he enjoys socializing, but never really commits time to most people beyond jumping from circle to circle. Still, the few who would manage to get in close with him, he is extremely protective and loyal to, and goes to any lengths to help them.
He can be a bit harsh on himself though. He realizes his faults, also referring to himself as "no better than a flea", the way he jumps around people, and as a "dependant and disgustingly loathesome sort of person" in regards to his relationship with his sister, whom he fears he has an unspeakably taboo affection for. Its none so much that he actually lusts for her, as shes the closest person he's ever been to or relied on, and he doesn't think anyone else is suitable for her, resulting in him being quite overprotective and jealous over her. Still, realizing these things, he as of late tries to distance himself from her more and more. Though hes usually so friendly and good-natured, when something rubs him the wrong way, he can be quick to anger, and even faster to throw a punch.
Still, despite the darker side of him, he usually seems like any normal teenager doing his best to enjoy life... Or maybe its that darker side of him that makes it even moreso...

Akumu comes from a moderately wealthy family who once lived in Hokkaido, keeping to their land and having a very warrior-like, somewhat strict means of upbringing and view of the world. His own father, one of three heirs to become the head of the family, however, was a kind and gentle man as adverse to his own father and eldest brother. As such, though Akumu and his twin sister, Yume, grew up knowing well to obey their elders and remain obedient, they also learned the best ways to get away with small pranks and having fun sneaking around at night.
At fifteen, his mother, who had been weakly since giving birth, fell badly ill, and the family moved, though with some resistance from the rest of the household, to the Iwatodai area for the specialized hospitals. His father got a job in the police force, while his mother, though condition improved, remains in the hospital. Akumu and his sister, Yume, have attended Gekkoukan since that time. Due to their fathers work and mothers absence, the two have largely depended on each other in these somewhat difficult years, which has led him to feel as if he's been quite dependant on her, while she on the other hand became much more outgoing and social with other people, something that surprised and somewhat hurt him when it occurred. Suddenly, she was making more friends, and as a result he hopelessly tries to do the same so as not to seem reliant on her...
