Overall Personality:
A slightly grown-up child is the general set up. Added the martial aspect of it since I like this kind of character, strong and yet naive and pure. The positive and negative points tell most of what I wanted to say and the rest will be kept open for more space when roleplaying him. I'm positive he has some sort of a mental disorder.
History:
Raised by his grandparents, who were the owners of a kendo dojo in Tokyo. Was trained by his grandmother(did you expect his grandpa to be the trainer as per cliche?) from young age in their dojo's school of swordsmanship and raised as a chivalrous and idealistic man by his grandfather. The parents were working overseas most of his life, hence their lack of involvement in raising him.
Additional influences were the banchou of the middle school he went to, who was a fan of old school anime and was a hot blooded hero rather than a delinquent, and a delusional and mentally unstable social studies teacher, who was put in a mental hospital a month after Junichi transferred.
The reason behind Junichi's transfer was an increasing amount of fights that he got himself into, with the intention of "punishing" evils he saw, which included beating a bunch of yakuzas who were threatening an elderly lady and single-handedly clearing the high school he enrolled into of delinquents on the first five days in school, which was also the direct reason behind his transfer.
His grandparents decided that a year in the countryside would do wonders for him and sent him to their birthplace, Inaba. There he came to a local kendo dojo with a letter to the master there, who happened to be a classmate of his grandparents when they were in high school.
