A modest yet curious individual, Tsubame is a person who enjoys the little things in life. She can be a little childish, having a soft spot for toys and collectibles. While she usually is calm and never complains, she is at odds with the materialistic lifestyles of her brother and his wife. Despite her distance from the couple, she cares for her brother deeply. The gap creates loneliness for her though, not being able to understand him as much as she feels a sister should. She tries to bury that emptiness with a sense of charity, helping others to the best of her ability. Despite this, she tries to stay realistic and is even slightly jaded in her views of urban life. While she strives to be mature, she still has an inner child that loves to play and interact with the world. History:
Tsubame originates from a small coastal village, with poor, but loving parents. Her brother Takeshi left to find work in the city when she was 8, but had little contact with their parents or his little sister afterward. She lost her parents to an illness recently, and was sent to live with Takeshi in Iwadotai. She was happy to be with her brother, but they were not as close as they were as children. While he is still as kind as he always was, he now gives much of his time to his wife and in-laws, believing that due to their internal issues are of more importance. His wife Ayaka, is melodramatic and prone to violent outbursts to the point that Tsubame is quite scared of her. Rather than fight for attention, she tries to tend to the household's daily needs and keeps a personal distance from the couple. She does miss her old rural home and simple life, but her curiosity gives her a little hope for the city.
