Personality:
Arashi is reliable, but not motivated unless it’s a very serious matter. When he’s forced to take things seriously, he’s very determined and performs to his full ability. If he sets his mind on something, there is little that can stop him. However, he would much rather prefer things to stay the way they are.
He’s a nice person, but has no patience nor pity for those who hurt others willingly. He has a hard time forgiving people who have done wrongs without regret.
Timeline:
Day 5 of DS
History:
Arashi grew up as a normal teenager—doing the things he was supposed to and getting good grades. His cousin Naoya lived with their family after his parents died, and even though they were so close, Arashi could never figure out what he was really thinking. Despite his coldness, Arashi has respect for his cousin and has trouble distrusting him. Eventually, Naoya left the house with little explanation.
During Arashi’s summer vacation during his second year of high school, he went to Tokyo to visit his cousin. There he met up with Asturo and Yuzu, his friends from school. Things took a turn for the worse as the entire Tokyo area was put on lockdown. The cause of the lockdown was labeled as a gas leak, but in reality it was to keep demons inside a confined area. Arashi was given a COMP by Naoya; a handheld device used for summoning demons. The lockdown drove many people to desperate actions. Civilians ended up killing others or were killed by demons, and others obtained COMPs to fight for supplies. Arashi and his friends fought against the bad demons who were trying to summon their leader, and the civilians who tried to harm others. They were unable to save some people, and Arashi holds himself responsible.
Arashi thought he was killed in a battle against demons on Day 5, but instead woke up on Port Island. The majority of his memories are intact, but some things are still fuzzy.
