Personality:
Yosuke is devoted to the things he cares about, sometimes to an extreme extent. He wants to be able to avenge Saki’s death and bring the person responsible to justice, becoming frustrated when he can’t find pieces of the puzzle. He also feels the need to be appreciated, even praised by his peers, and wants to prove himself.

History:
Yosuke was born and raised in the big city, becoming much attached to the way of life there. He was an average student, but very popular in elementary and middle school. He surrounded himself with a large group of friends that spent a lot of time together. However, one day his dad announced they would be moving to Inaba so he could manage the Junes location there. Yosuke didn’t want to leave his friends, and convinced his dad to let him move to the dorms of Gekkoukan High, the school a couple of his friends would be going to. There he met various members of SEES, though he was unaware of the Dark Hour at the time and was a normal high school student.
His dad and mom moved to Inaba to manage the food court there. Yosuke visited them frequently, often helping out at the Junes Food Court on weekends. The train rides were a drag, but he met Saki Konishi there, a co-worker who he fell for. Deep down, he knew she didn’t feel the same, but he still pursued her. She was later murdered, and Yosuke made up his mind to move back to Inaba to get to the bottom of her death. Prior to this, rumors of the Midnight Channel had reached Gekkoukan, and Yosuke was shocked to see Saki on the tv. He came to the conclusion that there must be a connection between the Midnight Channel and the murders. Once he moved, he began asking around the school and town about information on the case, meeting some members of the Investigation Team in the process. He has vague feelings of having known them before.
