Personality:
To the point, Naoya does not enjoy unraveling much detail about himself. He prefers to keep such private matters to himself and as such, appears rather mysterious. Those who come to know what little they can understand that he is very intelligent and promising man, who earned himself a spot as a talented programmer. In fact, he is the one who designed a system that allowed for demons to be summoned and controlled through comps, under the request of the Shomonkai group.
He is very ambitious in his goals and will stop at nothing to accomplish them, making him appear cold and manipulative. This description doesn't bother him, considering how little he cares for other opinions.
Any amount of compassion, kindness or fondness he hold for anyone.. is hard to tell if it's genuine. Under such situations, please be careful.
Timeline:
Near the end of the Naoya route, before defeating Bel. He does not remember what happened afterward and found himself in a different world some short time after blacking out. It didn't take him long to settle in and use the anomaly to his advantage.
History:
Naoya has lived countless lives and is forced to have keep every single memory he has made, due to act of rebellion against god when he killed his brother Abel and was thus cursed. The years have made him good at understanding how people think and react, allowing him to think ahead and plan out perfect outcomes.
The skill allowed him to make the Laplace mail and understand how the internet may be used to power comps in place of magic rituals.
Although he created the program under the request of the shomonaki group, he cares little for there actual goal and chooses to pursue his own: To learn in world where god is dead; to gain complete and total will from an uncaring god.
He used his brother -- that is, his brother's reincarnation - to fulfill his goal, helping him become king of bel and hold control over the demon world, eventually holding an army strong enough to take on the forces of god.
Unfortunately for him, he was pulled away from his goal and ended up in port island. Though unexpected, he plans to be patience and attempt to use it for his advantage.
