Backwards, huh? OVERALL PERSONALITY: Aiden is a person whose mood can be influenced heavily by those around him. He tries very hard to cheer people up if they're down. He's a very gentle person most of the time and is always willing to listen to someone's problems and give advice if he can. He's smart, and can generally get along with people he's with as long as their views don't clash big time. He's got a generally good control on his temper, and will usually try to look at things logically and use reason to get through things. He can be quite affectionate and give hugs to people if he thinks they need one. He has a lot of fun with his good friends, and he looks up to his brother a lot. With Logan's temper issues, though, Aiden usually ends up calming him and trying to keep him in control. They balance each other out well in that respect, and get along quite well. A lot of Aiden's sense of humor and views wee shaped by his older brother's. If someone talks badly about his older brother or a good friend of his (see: Lily insulting Yume in Mall Rats). Aiden does, however, require some reassurance about his own self-worth. He has a low self-esteem and relies heavily on his brother in particular, but he'll usually need someone else to fix his mood when it's fallen to pieces. This is best when it's someone he knows well. It can be difficult to do this, though, since if his mood is very bad, he'll avoid people and keep to himself, which makes his mood brood and worsen generally. This can happen easily, too, since small things can set his mood into a downward spiral from guilt or a number of other things. He's also prone to feeling lonely, and being too shy to try and reach out for some of the interaction he wants. He's not athletic, and commonly overthink small things. Around new people, he can be incredibly awkward and quiet. This can be seen as endearing by some, but it makes it difficult for him to make friends sometimes, adding to his reliance on the ones he has, like his brother. CHARACTER TIME PERIOD: Present. HISTORY: Aiden had a generally normal life growing up in a suburban town with his family. He got along incredibly well with his older brother, Logan, and had the tendency to cling to him sometimes. It gave him a sense of safety and security, along with making him feel better about himself for having a brother like Logan. He did well in school, had a small group of friends, and got along alright. As time went on, though, he started running ragged, focusing too much on school and not enough on other people. He'd started developing a very negative few of people in general, and the only exceptions were the ones that had proved themselves to be different to him personally. This, of course, wasn't a large number. It included his older brother, and a couple alright friends. The more stereotypical jocks and bullies at his school started picking on him, and while Logan would come to stop them almost without fail, it never stopped. If Logan wasn't around, they'd be on top of him again, degrading him and making him feel worthless. This slowly tore down the self-confidence he had, and made him worse with his interpersonal interactions. He longed for some kind of companion, a girlfriend mostly, that could help reaffirm the positive traits Logan assured him he had. But all the girls at his school were either completely uninteresting to him, or completely uninterested in him. This only served to bring his self-esteem down more. Eventually, he suggested to his parents the idea of him moving somewhere else and trying to get a fresh start with new people. He had done some research and found tat Gekkoukan High School in Iwatodai was a good school and that he could easily find housing nearby. His parents were hesitant to say the least, but Logan stepped up and offered to go with him. This alone made Aiden more confident about the plan, and it convinced his parents to support it. They couldn't move, due to their jobs, so Logan and Aiden moved to apartments in Iwatodai and began attending Gekkoukan. Quickly, Aiden met a girl named Yume in Paulownia Mall. They'd run into each other at school and briefly introduced themselves, but had little to no interaction. Aiden took a deep breath and approached her, prompting a conversation. She had been counting money to spend in the arcade, but they ended up going into a karaoke booth for most of the afternoon. They got close very quickly, and even started dating then and there. It was fast and sudden, yes, but for the time being, Aiden is generally content with his new life, girlfriend, and surroundings.
