Irresponsibly ruthless words fill this town but
Never more, will a painful voice flow by
Well you may be king for the moment.
But I am a queen, understand.
And I've got your pawns and your bishops and castles
All inside the palm of my hand.
Those days we spent casually are bidding farewell to us
As we lose those irreplaceable days

Personality:
Yuri’s demeanor is usually quite calm and cool, and she tends to keep her emotions hidden. She will show annoyance, impatience, and arrogance, and although she can quickly become angry, she very rarely loses control of her feelings. Maintaining self-control is vital to her. In general, she faces adversity very calmly, either with varying degrees of detachment (she doesn't seem to care what others think of her as long as she gets her way) or of arrogance. Yuri usually does not allow her arrogance to cloud her better judgment, although there are several cases of her doing so. Fear is another emotion that Yuri rarely shows. In spite of her unexpressive exterior, Yuri is not always completely cold. Again, she does show fear and lack of control at times, especially when she feels completely helpless. Also, although she doesn't always treat those whom she associates with kindly, there could be a possibility to care for select few.

History:
On April 12, a girl was born to Alexander Williamson and his wife Ahsan. The girl’s father named her Yuri, after Yuri Gagarin, the first human launched into space. She was born the night of April 12, also known as Yuri’s Night, and since he had always been fascinated by astronomy, he thought it was fitting.
The couple was currently separated so Yuri didn’t spend much time with her father during her early years, only seeing him when he would drop by unannounced. That all changed when her mother Ahsan committed suicide when Yuri was just four years old. After the incident, she moved to her father’s house, where she was well taken care of. Her uncle Robert often made remarks of how alike the father and daughter were becoming, going as far as referring to Yuri with her father’s childhood nickname, “Billy,” though he’d made it “Little Billy” to distinguish between the two.
Since her father was so overprotective of his one and only daughter, she was homeschooled and only knew people who did business with her father and uncle. Life was easy then, all she had to do was study what her doting father told her to and behave when they had visitors, and even those events were few and far between. Back then, her favorite pastimes were studying history, reading, and listening to her Japanese tutor’s recounts of his early life in his homeland.
This all started changing when Yuri turned twelve, though.
Her father had become more of a recluse, even as far as restricting his own brother’s visits. He lost his temper with even the tiniest details, be them related to work or personal affairs, and he even started holding his daughter in contempt, apparently annoyed by her very existence. When Robert got wind of his brother’s behavior, he suggested taking Yuri to live with him for an undetermined period of time; just until Alexander could get back on his feet. It took two years for Yuri to return home, now a teenager and looking more like her mother.
Things looked like they had returned to normal for the first few months, but Yuri still noted the way her father stared at her during dinner, or how he addressed her in an overly admonishing tone. She suggested returning to Robert’s a second time, thinking things were still difficult for her father, and was surprised by his father’s reaction: he struck her, something he had never done before. He kept beating her, like a man possessed, all the while ranting about some thing or another.
Indecent… ungrateful… worthless… unwanted… bitch… just like your mother
That was the first of many times, during which Alexander repeated the same insults or some variation of them. Little by little, Yuri pieced together what they could mean and decided some investigations were in order. During her researching period, she found many little details about her parents, things she wouldn’t have imagined. Her parents had an arranged marriage, where her father abused of her mother both physically and emotionally. Alexander Williamson had a history of mental instability, which his family tried to cover up, the marriage being just another coat of paint needed for the façade of a normal life. Her mother asked for a divorce when she found out she was pregnant, wanting the best for her child, but he kept pursuing her. The persecution, threats and ultimately more abuse on his part were the reasons why her mother eventually broke down and took her own life, her despair defeating her wish for her daughter’s safety.
So, with the knowledge of these events ever present in her mind, Yuri endured, plotted and dreamt. Her father grew sick in his old age and became bedridden, practically forcing Robert to come and live with them. One fateful night when Robert was out on business, she finally snapped and asphyxiated him, as a form of revenge for her mother (she didn't want to believe it was for her own reasons).
When Robert came back, he found Yuri waiting for him in the dining room area, ready to share her act of deliverance with him. More than shocked, twice as fearful, Robert made the biggest decision of his life: to help his niece cover up her crime and get her out of the country. He had always known of his brother’s abusive behavior and had even feared such an outcome, so he thought the least he could do was help the girl; a repenting act for not helping before this tragedy.
After pulling God knows how many strings and asking for even twice the number in favors, he managed to get her out of the predicament fairly clean. Months after the funeral, Yuri Williamson was sent to Japan, at her request, to live in “exile” and find some manner of peace. She had grown to love the country because of her tutor and had had this ideal image of it since she was young.
Though her initial plan was to lead a normal life on her own, her steps seem slowed towards that goal, perhaps even halted completely.
I will find it, that precious thing that I lost
Never more, because I’m sure your voice will guide me
