GENERAL STYLE: having been dropped into this world quite suddenly, elpis really has nothing to wear besides her built-in battle suit. it garners lots of . . . attention, but she seems oblivious to this fact. At the last moment their souls sing Along haunting voices of lone shadows deep breath deep B R E A T H POSITIVES: - mild - obedient - contemplative - optimistic - whimsical - chivalrous NEGATIVES: - quixotic - volatile - vengeful - withdrawn - headstrong - penitent OVERALL PERSONALITY: carefully soft-spoken and dreamy, most wouldn't consider elpis to be much a threat. she giggles far too often and reveries all too frequently; you would think the only " violence " she'd be capable of is playful poking. you would think. but the fact remains that she is a weapon, sentient, but still a weapon. if she feels threatened, she will not hesitate to attack, be it a friend or unlucky passerby. she is driven by her own programming to protect herself against any and all risks, even if they aren't exactly viable. subsequently, she tends to overreact to situations that regular humans would find perfectly normal - like a dog barking, or the honking of a car. since she is not used to the world outside of the dark hour, those types of things generally send her into a defensive, ELIMINATE mode. if one were to " disrupt " elpis, as she personally puts it, they could very well find their head beneath her heels. she has not the patience for anything even remotely irritating, and she will take extreme, often times violent, measures to stop it. but that's not to say she's entirely unapproachable. no, if you happen to pique her interest enough, she'll follow you around like a lost puppy, chattering incessantly about her various daydreams and eccentric ideas. she'll also protect you with a vehement enthusiasm - whether you really want her to or not. see, that's the thing. elpis sort of exists in her own fairytale world, and doesn't pay much attention to reality. okay, she doesn't pay attention to reality at all. she just goes la-dee-da through life, doing whatever the hell she wants, regardless of others' objections. although she might act blithe and carefree the majority of the time, inside elpis seems tormented by feelings of regret, self-hatred, and loneliness. she remembers full well her failure at defeating the appriser, and she cannot forgive herself for that. she refuses to let go of the past, instead loathing herself for her own uselessness. CHARACTER TIME PERIOD: in her original timeline, elpis was destroyed by the appriser along with the other anti-shadow weapons, excluding aigis. but fate has willed her into this new world, with full memories and her mechanical body untouched. and yet, she seems to be rapidly developing her own personality, despite not being human. elpis is admittedly unsettled by her current existence; she, quite vividly, remembers her own demise, and believes it was a well deserved consequence for failing her mission. and so she has rejected this new life, wishing nothing more than to die as she should've long ago. although . . . she has noticed faint signs of the appriser, sparking a hopeful drive into her . . . she will eliminate him this time, with this second chance from fate. HISTORY: elpis was part of the anti-shadow weapon line created by the kirijo group, in hopes of defeating the threat of nyx. she was entirely dedicated to this mission, as it was, after all, her purpose in life. but she fell at the hands of the appriser, obliterated to mere robotic pieces by it's power. the influx in time has revived her, however, and settled her back into port island. she now seeks a way to complete her original mission and destroy the fragmentation of nyx that continues to exist somewhere.
