Personality:
Kazuhiko is a very cruel person. Not because his life was particularly bad in any sort of way, it was more like he was just born a complete jerk. According to other teachers at school, this means that his students try harder and that it’s actually some form of reverse psychology. In honesty, it’s because he simply cannot force himself to care about the students he teaches. Besides this, however, he’s a very open and honest person with his students. He’d never tell one that he would pass when it was obvious he wasn’t. He’s quite intelligent, though he doesn’t flaunt it. Kazu gets annoyed with the general lack of any sort of sense in his students and their immaturity.
He can be a nice person, when you’ve known him for a very long time or if you happen to be his pet cat. Unfortunately, either of these are rather difficult to achieve. He’s selfish in the sense that he only cares about his own preservation, and perhaps that of his cat. On his plus side, he’s very determined to advance himself and his ideals. In a way, he’s a bit of a fanatic in the way he wants to advance his own fame more than anything else. This is partially why he’s such a jerk at his job: he never really wanted to be a teacher and would have much preferred to get some nice research job at a university. But between the lack of offers in his desired job field and several high schools giving him decent offers (as well as dwindling funds from his part time job), he denied himself his dream. In turn, this has made him bitter and annoyed with the students. He can’t wait until his future cushy research job, but he’ll have to wait for it for now.

Kazuhiko Ito was born to Tsutomu Ito and his wife Rumiko. He was an only child, and was doted on by his parents as a child. He was always a good student and brilliant, which meant that after high school, he practically got to pick any school he wanted to. He went to a college that specialized in the studies of organic metalloids, and graduated with good marks. He was hoping to stay back at college and continue to study chemical properties of various plant and animal structures, and perhaps one day even discover something that would help optimize the metabolism by manipulating the metallic organic structures within them. However, none of his professors were interested in having him working underneath them, forcing him to take a job at Gekkoukan. He was hoping that the students within this particular institution would be brilliant, and that he’d barely need to teach them for the kids to understand what he was getting at.
Unfortunately, he was wrong. He quickly began to loathe the entire student body at the institution, feeling that despite the resources the Kirijo group had pumped into the system, all it was getting out of it was a bunch of spoiled morons who were waiting to suckle on their mother’s teat. He’s never said as much to anyone, however, and the fact that his attitude generally sparks a remarkably high rate of spectacular marks, means that no one has questioned him, and hell, many admire him for being able to ‘whip those students into shape’.
