Personality:
Shira is an ever kind and sweet young girl. She is always willing to do something for another, whether they really need the help, or not. She looks up to her older brother, Yuuga and, since they grew up orphans, learned everything she knows from him. She is sensitive, and will usually quiet down if someone mentions a loved one being sick, or hurt, having experienced it herself. She will also cry if someone close to someone else dies. She is innocent, and rather, naive and almost always looks to the positive side of things, trying to believe that, no matter what happens, something good will come sooner or later.


History:
Shiraha was born in an upper middle-class family. They were well-off, and things were looking up for them. However, not long after her birth, her mother succumbed to her fatigue and never opened her eyes again. Thus, she had never gotten to meet the woman that had so lovingly brought her into this world, and she was raised by her single father and played with her older brother, Yuuga, who was two years older. That is, until she was three years of age. One fateful night, a burglar broke into their house and accidentally woke up the Yukimura siblings, who had been asleep until then. He then proceeded to threaten them, which only made Shira cry, a sound that likely woke up their father, who quickly came to their rescue. During the struggle with the intruder, however, he sustained some heavy wounds and was sent to the hospital, where he died of his injuries sometime later.
Unable to remember this, Shira grew up peacefully with her brother in an orphanage. She was one of the smallest children there, and always clung to her brother, but she somehow managed to make some friends and grow into a kind, and generous, young girl, obviously following her brother's example. He was always so kind, and bent over backwards for anyone, while refusing help from others. It impressed Shira and she set about mimicking him in her own innocent way until it became ingrained into her daily life. However, the peaceful life at the orphanage wasn't to last, either.
When Shira was 8 years of age, she was playing with a ball as she and Yuuga walked down the street. Accidentally, she dropped it, and she immediately ran after it, completely unaware that a car had been coming at the time. Before she knew it, Yuuga had caught up with her, and had shielded her from the impact with his own body. She managed to come out of the incident with only a few minor scrapes, but Yuuga wasn't so lucky. He became hospitalized with a number of broken bones, and it was then that the young girl realized just how grave her mistake really was. It almost cost her the life of someone close to her, and had hurt him really badly, and the guilt over such a realization slowly ate at her.
She visited Yuuga's room frequently, unable to tear herself from his side, for fear that he might leave her, like their parents had so many years before. She even tried her best to make up for putting him in the hospital like she had by doing little things for him, like taking his clothes to be washed, bringing him special food, and some small items to keep him entertained until he was released. She only really ever felt remotely at ease when she was with Yuuga during this time, and she knew she could no longer make him help her with everything, like she had in the past. If this was what was going to happen, then it was better this way, she thought to herself, while managing to warmly smile for her brother during her visits.
Before too long, Yuuga was eventually released, and things appeared to go back to normal, for which Shira was very relieved, though she tried harder not to allow herself to not get into anymore accidents, especially those that would burden Yuuga, or hurt him again. She wanted nothing more than to protect him, since he was the only one who had been there since the beginning, and her only remaining family. He was everything she had left.
Four years later, a couple came to the orphanage and offered to take the siblings home. Shira regarded them in curiousity, wondering what their home would be like, when Yuuga had initially refused to allow them to be adopted. Slightly disappointed in this, the white-haired girl quietly accepted this, trusting her brother's decision without much hesitation. But, still... She had wanted to know what a home outside the orphanage was like. However, it seemed as though Yuuga had noticed this, or something, as he had eventually called the couple back and gave his consent for them to adopt the both of them. This excited Shira greatly, and she has since then been living in the comfort of a warm, loving home. She will soon be starting her first year of high school at Gekkoukan with Yuuga, who started a year late, and will be in his second year.
