Naturally, he hates it. AGE & BIRTHDATE: Fourteen, December 18th GENDER: Male SEXUALITY: Unsure as of right now. OCCUPATION: Third year in Junior-High [/style] [atrb=cellPadding,5,true][atrb=style, background: #777777; border-radius:0px 0px 15px 0px; -moz-border-radius:0px 0px 15px 0px;][style= color: #000000; width: 385px; height: 124px; overflow-y:scroll;]PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Yasuo is very petite in both stature and weight, something he‘s extremely embarrassed about. He stands at 5‘4 and weights 112 pounds. His hair is medium length, choppy and inky black. He doesn‘t bother fussing around with it and it shows, he‘s not as bad as perpetual bed-head but he‘s not much better. His eyes are hazel-olive and the intensity of the two colours change depending on the seasons: darker in the winter and brighter in summer. Like a lot of young people his pupils are big and - despite his best efforts to counter it - always seem to make him look doe-eyed. As far as clothing goes, Yasuo has a simple moto: "I could care less." . If it doesn‘t smell awful and his mother doesn‘t stop him on the way out then he‘ll wear just abouty any hash-mash. The only staples in his wardrobe are the fact that he never wears anything that would reveal his prosthetic leg as he's self concious about it, and he always carries a messenger bag full of painkillers and his anti-depression pills.[/style] [atrb=cellPadding,5,true][atrb=style, background: #777777; border-radius:0px 0px 15px 0px; -moz-border-radius:0px 0px 15px 0px;][style= color: #000000; width: 385px; height: 124px; overflow-y:scroll;] POSITIVES: ↑ Independent (Well, moving towards this would be more accurate.) ↑ Shrewd. There is little he can't puzzle out. ↑ He's a very determined little guy, once he sets his mind on something there is little that can tear him away. For better or for worse. ↑ He's kind of "secretly generous", he doesn't like it when people see him do good things but if no one is looking he always drops money in charity boxes and leaves things in donation boxes. ↑ Deep down, he' not a bad kid. He might be dishonest, be he wouldn't do anything to actually hurt someone or act on his impulses. NEGATIVES: ↓ Easily irritated, even little things like smacking lips or use of filler words such as "like" or "um" can set him off. ↓ A compulsive liar because: "why tell the truth to anyone if you can't trust them?" ↓ Highly suspicious of everyone and everything. Yasuo has convinced himself that no one does anything out of sheer goodness and that there is always an ulterior motive. ↓ Highly anti-social. Being around big crowds of people makes him uneasy because it reminds him of the accident. ↓ His fear often turns quickly into anger and he tends to lash out even if people ahve his best interests at heart. OVERALL PERSONALITY: Yasuo is not a pleasant kid. He isn’t normally someone who actively seeks out conversation with other people, preferring the company of his tarantula to anything on two legs, but, when he does interact with people he isn’t exactly friendly conversation; Yasuo speaks his mind bluntly and without apology. If there was ever a walking example of “misery loves company” it would probably be Yasuo. He has it stuck in his head that no one will be truthful with him, so why should he be curteous? He lies, tries to get a rise out of people by saying things and is just generally unlikable. But, his outwardly cold attitude is merely a cover-up to protect the more fragile part of his mind. Yasuo is easily influenced and gullible, if he comes to trust someone he’ll trust them completely. Anyone who seems to “understand” or act in a way he wishes to emulate is idolized and followed to an almost obsessive degree. Yasuo puts up the front of an apathetic tormenter, when in reality he is only lashing out at others because he can’t figure out how to work around and come to terms with his own personal weaknesses. One of the biggest factors that play into his more negative personality is his his diagnosed depression and PTSD. He goes to therapy and gets carter around to a bunch of different people, but nothing has really been able to crack his outer wall of resistence. He is unhappy and he doesn't know why. He can't look at things without having a mental break down and he doesn't know why. -and that uncertainty is what drives him to hide. He just wants to be safe. HISTORY: Disclaimer: Just as a warning, this might be triggering for people. It mentions boat-related accidents, amputation, depression, PTSD and the death of a parent. Please proceed with caution. Yasuo was born on a chilly December morning into a very cozy family of three. Being an only child -and being an energetic child - he grew very close to his equally active parents. At school he was an average student not excelling in anything but not failing, but, it was clear to all his teachers that his passions lay outside at sea rather than in any classroom. Taiyou, who worked as a swim-coach and Taro who had grown up in a small port town and lived most of his life as shipmaster were all too happy to encourage this passion. The only dark spot in Yasuo’s childhood was the fact that he was often teased for his short stature, but that was more a nuisance then an actual threat. -and for the most part, Yasuo cheerily shrugged their comments off. -and so life went on this way: promising a bright future for the young family. But, the one promise that always stuck out to Yasuo was a promise his Father had been swearing to full-fill for years. “When you’re old enough you can come aboard the ship with me.” had been the repeated sentence that defined Yasuo‘s childhood. At the age of twelve, the chance finally came. The whole family had been planning a vacation in one of the larger port cities’ and Taro had managed to get permission to take Yasuo aboard a ferry that Taro had worked on when he was a young man. When the day finally came, Taiyou - who wanted to meet up with an old friend from high school - opted to stay behind while father and son went aboard. The ship was everything that Yasuo had imagined and more. He quickly took to his father’s old co-workers and they took to him too; enthusiastically dragging him around the ship and being dragged. No one suspected anything bad could possibly happen. “It was too nice a day.” “The sky was too bright!” “The waves were too calm.“ The crew was untouchable in their ignorance. What great being would possibly allow tragedy to happen on such a fine day? No one knew how it happened. It just did. The sheer fact it did still baffles experts in oceanography and sailing today. But, the simple fact is, it did happen. On that beautiful summer day, a returning cargo ship lost control and collided violently with the passenger ferry. Yasuo and the other passengers’ who had been sitting in the waiting area were crushed under a literal mountain of debris and glass. The shock of impact caused Yasuo to pass out completely. When he finally awoke his reaction was exactly as the nurses had expected. Frantic questioning about why he couldn‘t feel his right leg and where his parents were poured out of his mouth constantly as he shook from shock and his mind failed to grasp what had transpired. Fearing for his safety and sanity, the nurses sedated him and allowed him to fall back asleep. When he woke up the second time a few days later the workers decided it would be best to let him know what had happened. As kindly as she could, an elderly nurse explained that when they had found Yasuo his right leg had already been almost completely severed from his body and it was a miracle he had been found alive. The amputation had been “completely necessary and vital” to saving his life. Still unable to fully comprehend the events that had transpired, Yasuo fell into a pattern of loud questioning and eerie silence. A little while later, Taiyou was located and allowed into the hospital to see Yasuo. She tearfully explained that the search teams hadn’t been able to find Taro. Yasuo and Taiyou were inseparable those dreary days in the hospital. Everyday seemed too be a nightmare that just bled one into another. A week later, Taiyou was informed by a nurse that they had been added to a list for transfer to a hospital closer to their home. But, this good news was counteracted by the fact that that Taro’s body had been found in the wreckage and he had long since passed away. The day of transfer came, followed by close to a month in a hospital and then a release from the ward and given permission to go home for a trial period. Despite Taiyou’s best efforts to get him to talk to her or do something physical Yasuo slept away his first few days back from the hospital. He had long since convinced himself in a drugged stupor that he could sleep away the memories of the wreck. When he finally was well enough to go back to school, Yasuo tried desperately to keep up a false image of hopefulness and recovery. But the pain of rehabilitation therapy, learning how to walk with a prosthetic limb and the sudden change in his classmates attitude made him give up. The baseball games he had once poured his heart into was now something he was stuck watching. All the former teasing and joking suddenly stopped and Yasuo’s friends and enemies alike began treating him as if he was incredibly delicate. Unable to channel his anger, fear and frustration into anything he used too, Yasuo kept his thoughts bottled up. Allowing cynicism and spite to grow, and the more his cynicism grew, the more Taiyou and his friends began to worry. Resulting in a vicious cycle of distrust and delicate treatment. Slowly, Yasuo stopped contacting all of his old friends and his relationship with his mother is anything but normal. Currently, he skips school in favour of hiding out in his home. He’s pretty much a borderline hikikomori. [/style] |

All in all summing up Yasuo's feelings about his life at this point in time. For a Reverse Judgement to feel better they must seek their inner selves, overcome the fear of the idea of death and liberate themselves from what holds them back. In order to fullfill his life goals and move on from his accident, Yasuo must complete all these. He needs to admit to himself he hasn't been acting life "himself" , accept and move on from his father's passing and prove to himself and the people around him he can stand on his own two feet. PERSONA: Initial Liber - The ancient Roman God of wine, fertility, coming of age and, most importantly freedom. The son of Demeter (or her Roman equivalent Ceres) and brother to Persephone. It is said that he grants young men the strength to leave their Father's house and start a life on their own when they come of age. Liber, being the God of coming of age for young men represents Yasuo’s desire for independence. He’s growing up. - and he’s growing up in spite of and alongside the tragedy that befell him as a child. With that growing up comes the freedom to act as he wants to without someone hovering over him or being told what to do. Even before the accident, Yasuo was coddled and sheltered which only makes his desire to break out from the confines of childhood stronger. HIGH AFFINITY: Earth and Water. LOW AFFINITY: Fire and Electricity. SKILLS: - Tera - Single Shot - Skewer - Tarukaja |
