When she gets tired of a guy she's seeing, that's the excuse she'll give – he wasn't the right one. She tires of people quickly and gleefully burns bridges after a fight, but she can be genuinely affectionate and loyal to someone who manages to stick with her despite her objectionable traits. Typically, she gets along best with gay men or women she finds unattractive, as she doesn't see them as potential targets for flirting or as interfering with her picking up guys. The word shameless has not gone unsaid when referring to her, if she wants something and she thinks a certain tactic in her repertoire might work to get it, she won't be too proud to try it. But if pouting or whining doesn't work, she might lash out in a glorified tantrum and a declaration that whatever it was wasn't worth getting anyway. She can be very petty in this regard, holding grudges for a long time. Beneath all of her flirting and bravado, Noriko is actually quite emotionally vulnerable. Her loss to the younger idol still haunts her. She's painfully aware that she's not getting any younger and the youth she has won't last her forever. HISTORY: Noriko's future was already decided for her from a very young age. She was born the mirror image of her mother, who had always garnered attention for her beauty and aspired to be a model. However, a forced marriage into a wealthy but stifling traditional family stripped her dream away. But when she her daughter was born the spitting image of her, she decided to live vicariously through her and train her to fulfill the dream she'd abandoned. Noriko's childhood was a barrage of private lessons and tutoring, pushed upon her by her mother. Her father, ignorant of his wife's goals, allowed the woman to do as she wished. Noriko wasn't the male heir he wanted, so he cared little about what happened to her so long as she wasn't in his way. The list of subjects she studied was broad and filled the young girl's free time. Most important, however was the array of beauty pageants the woman enrolled Noriko in from the moment she was old enough to be eligible. These pageants soon became a constant in her life and her mother wouldn't accept anything less than complete victory over the other competitors. She taught the girl how to use her charm to secure a win and to not be afraid of stepping on the other girls to get it. Soon Noriko began to enjoy the atmosphere of the pageant scene, seeing all the other girls as rivals to be beaten at any cost, then reveling in the attention and praise she got when she won. This behavior continued as Noriko grew and she was poised to move from pageants to actual modeling. But before she could start on her goal to become the next big teen idol, her mother was stricken with illness - a previously unknown heart condition violently made itself known. The woman passed away not long after, it had progressed too far to be treated. Shortly after her death, her father decided that his wife had given the girl too much free rein. He was no longer going to get the male heir he wanted and so he tried a different tactic: Noriko would be pulled from her classes and would stay at home to keep house in her mother's place until he could marry her off. Though Noriko was still reeling from the sudden death, she rebelled against her father's idea. She still wanted to achieve what she'd been working towards since childhood. The two fought bitterly about it and the argument came to a head. Her father gave her an ultimatum: if she went out and continued with this idol nonsense, she would not have a home to return to. Prideful and stubborn, Noriko left with her head held high and never looked back. She wouldn't need to come back because she had every intent to succeed. Using her charm, her wit, and a few favors over the course of a couple years, she managed to worm her way into an once-in-a-lifetime audition with the largest modeling company in Japan. She was sure she had everything it took, the looks, the confidence, and the talent; she would make it to the top. The audition was held and when the results were decided, the contract was given to another girl, this one a couple years younger than her. Needless to say, Noriko took this loss hard. She gave up on modeling entirely and thanks to her luck and some good friends, she was able to find a job as a substitute teacher. Though it was far from what she wanted, it paid well enough that she could support herself and she was competent at it. The death of Mr. Morooka offered her a chance at a permanent teaching position at Yasogami High School. The sexual aspects of the arcana are the most obvious ones that suit her; lust, passion, and physical attraction are the main things on her mind most of the time. The attention she gets could be seen as a vice of hers, she craves it to the point of obsession and becomes angry or bitter when she doesn't get it. She still thinks of herself as a young woman and refuses to move past those years of her life, meaning her pursuit of younger men is largely futile and hopeless.
