Tatsuya is quiet and distant, these traits are what essentially make up his being on all fronts. The reasoning can be traced back to his brother as well as a certain incident involving a small group of children and the sins they created in ignorance. To go into further depth, his mind created an illusion that as a child he had failed to save maya and has made it so that he lacks conviction in anything he personally does and rather allow others to choose for him. His aloof attitude is a combination of a distant family and the events that played out before him leaving a distant and unbelievably stoic individual.

Despite all of this, Tatsuya still retained his ability to put himself out there to aid others and he still retains a sense of loyalty and faith in others that have become close to him, though this may also be his greatest fault. He is also a man who will allow others to put forth their best before aiding them as he believes that one should trust the strength of others rather than merely step in.

Tatsuya is also far from an academic type, being the least likely along with his friend Anna to ever be found in class unless there was literally no other option. He amazingly enough however manages to come out with good enough grades and always attends school, just not class. How and why he does is his and only his reason to know.

Tatsuya has not had what any would call the ideal life. His brother was always berating him about school and his own father was never around to give him much attention or the time of day. He did however have moments of solace thanks to his friends during his childhood, known only amongst themselves as the masquerade . Life became far more difficult however, when Maya entered his life. Her older sister attitude and caring nature left a serious impression on not only him but the rest of the group and when they learned she was to leave, the others trapped her, and tatsuya for going against the plan, in an old shrine. Little did the others know a crazed arsonist would endanger both of their lives and they would have surely died if not for his Persona's power awakening for the first time.

It wouldn't be until his very last year of high school that he would need to draw on that power or those memories again. Power and memories he had long since buried in order to cover their Innocent Sin. The mysterious grim reaper had taken a girl from his school hostage to call him out, but this would merely be the first step down a spiraling journey, far from his days of cutting class and hanging with Anna. Alongside the hyper Lisa, bubbly Maya, serious Yukino and the wild Eikichi. Tatsuya would fight a long and arduous battle against the Masquerade and each of their four mysterious Executives who continued to steal the souls of Sumaru's city as well as enlist the power of the enigmatic Master Joker.

Stopping a school war, Saving the city from the clutches of a devious producer, Branded a terrorist, battling to save a band of children, Watching his own city tear itself apart all in the name of their ideals and The Joker, and most hideous of all the rebirth of Hitler.Tatsuya would soon learn again of the pain he had thrown away and the true villain behind it all, but not before losing his entire planet to the rumors that had very well integrated themselves perfectly with society. All would culminate to his final battle against both aliens, nazis and his own city to stop that damned Nyarlathotep.

And there after all He and his friends had gone through, they would lose, and would be forced to watch their follies lead to Maya's death. Finally left as naught more than a plaything to the two gods he would accept the destruction of his own universe and the loss of all that he had fought for. Looking onwards, holding himself to blame their comsic bet would still go on.
