A thing like this would have caused pain for most but he took it as a sign, to live for two. He would become stronger because of this, making sure to take things head on for the sake of his lost sibling. Though even with this his earring is also a sign of him as an individual, so that he wouldn't lose sight of who he is and what makes him the person he is even more so now. Taking pride in that individualism he finds things he loves and works the hardest on improving on them and doing his best. For example he's always loved music, from even when he was rather young. His parents saw this and decided to sign him up for private singing lessons. Eventually he's personality would pull people in, and make bonds that would last no matter what.. or so he hoped. This would also lead to all the adventures and thing they had to over come, being pulled into the other world made by Maki. He's last notions of the time he was once in would be leaving Mikage-cho for somewhere else. He wasn't exactly sure where or why even. He's parents hadn't really said anything about it. Not sure about it himself he left all his memories behind of the place he lived most of his life in and all the bond he had made. Not knowing of what else could possibly be waiting to happen next. The trasfer to the new time made half off his memerory foggy, he may know of the other world still but he does not remember that it had been Maki's doing per say.
