Whether she has been reborn from some point after that remains to be seen, but as of now she assumes herself to have come directly from graduation day, 2010. HISTORY: In the year 1999, a major catastrophe at the Moonlight Bridge--officially stated to be an "explosion"--rocked Tatsumi Port Island and among the casualties were Minako's own parents. Moving from place to place in the intervening years, Minako eventually found herself drifting back to Tatsumi Port Island once more. Her arrival there marked the beginning of an adventure that spanned nearly a whole year: soon enough she had been enlisted by a group of high school Persona-users calling themselves S.E.E.S., and soon enough was appointed field leader. Minako's story goes on from there with many a twist and turn, but all that really needs to be said is that it changed her. The bonds and memories she made along the way became treasured and irreplaceable to her, so much so that when push came to shove, she stood between the world and its end with nothing but her own power and that of her bonds to aid her--and willingly gave her life to prevent that end from coming about. That's what she did, so she was surprised to find herself on the train to Iwatodai once again, and very much alive. She would discover upon her arrival that the situation is even more surreal and complex than her previous adventure. As a wielder of the power known as the "wild card," Minako matches this Arcana in more ways than one; her power, as described by Igor, is "like the number zero: it's empty, but holds infinite potential within itself." Much of that potential had been realized at the end of Minako's previous journey, but her arsenal of Personas seems to have been lost in the intervening years, leaving her with naught but her initial Persona. Having returned to square one, another new beginning, it remains to be seen how her potential will develop this time around... PERSONA: Orpheus is a humanoid figure armed with a large, heart-shaped lyre, head flowing with wild orange hair. Looking closely, one might note that its facial features resemble Minako's somewhat. While decidedly more feminine in appearance than Minato Arisato's incarnation, it's interesting to note that Minako's version is still quite androgenous. An interesting characteristic of Orpheus is the prominence of its musical implement, which might reflect Minako's own love of music. Based on his myth, Orpheus stands for both foolish human folly (for turning back out of doubt, causing his love to vanish forever) and sacrifice (for dying for his love, Eurydice), both of which are options that were available to Minako in some form at the end of her first adventure.
