Personality:
Kotone is a shy, sweet girl who dislikes direct confrontations and prefers to be off in her own world. She gets extremely nervous in social situations, avoiding them as often as she can. But when forced to confront them, she speaks very little or at most, nods and smiles. She will become more talkative if she's around her brother or a teacher but once they're gone she will draw back into her shell.
Once she becomes friends with someone, however, she will open up and break away from her shy exterioir revealing a warm and loving person who tends to make some odd comments here and there. She will be lyal and supportive, no matter the situation.
She admittedly has a brother complex as she feels he is the only person she can truly rely on. She fears him being taken away from her and thus, will become hostile towards girls interested in him in her own indirec way.

History:
Her mother passed away when she was very young; Kotone can barely remember her mother's kind face. Instead, her father has always filled that role for her and provide for both of his children. Life was difficult, they barely scraped up enough money to support themselves and it led to many frustrations within the household. As everyone found thier own ways to deal with this and unforunately, her father found the worst combination: Gambling and drinking. And eventually, to drugs.
The situation became so bad, it resulted in a physical fight between her father and her brother Souta, resulting in her brother having a dislocated shoulder and disallowing him to ever play sports again. It also made Kotone afraid; if her father was capable of such a violent act towards his own son... what about people? The strangers that passed her by, students who idly chattered in the hallways. She couldn't trust anyone; except for her brother.
So she grew a heavy relaince on him and prefers spending time with Souta over anything else.
