Irresponsibly ruthless words fill this town but
Never more, will a painful voice flow by
"It started long before me, I never saw it coming...
The distance, the promise, a state of isolation.
And in my darkest nightmare, things that I can't remember,
The answer is drowning, this pain will last forever.
My father, his duty, his orders.
My brother, the promise, the breaking, rejection, deception.
Reflection, conception,
The missing... The torture...
The madness, the sadness...
Can this be? Or is it?
The shadow cast before me, I walk inside your circle.
Protect me, correct me, you got your orders soldier.
Inside my head is humming, sometimes I hear them coming,
The power, believing, the hate I hate believing."
Those days we spent casually are bidding farewell to us
As we lose those irreplaceable days

Alecsandri is cold, determined, and only has a mind for his duties. And as far as hes concerned, his work is never done. If it looks like it is, he can always go back and make things better. Ideas of 'fun' and 'relaxation' are entirely foreign to him, and though they may pique some curiosity in him, he's quite hardened and well-able to resist those curiosities, writing them off as unnecessary distractions, 'diseases of the mind, soul, and body', as it were.
He is fully devoted to his cause, and will easily enough put himself in harms way if it means getting a job done right. This doesn't at all mean he's keen on the idea of dying, however... While he's under no disillusionment that he isn't irreplaceable, he is quite fond of his work, and would like more than anything to see his 'masters wishes' fulfilled.
Alecsandri is quite astute and very diligent about his work, and rarely knows what to do with himself when he somehow ends up with "free time", which to some might even appear quite comical. It's sometimes as if he doesn't even understand how 'regular people' operate in these situations...

History:
Alecsandri is something of an enigma, even to himself. When he was five he was found unconscious in the snow and taken in by a Russian orphanage not far from Saint Petersburg. It was guessed that he'd spent nearly three days wandering before he passed out from cold, hunger and exhaustion, and was bedridden with sickness for nearly two weeks. He'd suffered from terrible nightmares, though he doesn't recall what they might have been, just as he doesn't recall anything from the time before he'd been discovered.
Try as the orphanage might, no name or family was found for the boy, and as they do, the boy was taken in to their care. It was a poor place, but they kept well. 'Alecsandri', as the boy was named, was just as cold inside as he had been when he'd been discovered, as if the sickness and frigid air of winter and froze him to the core. At first, he was merely a blank slate, with no real memories of who he was, or how he'd ended up where he'd been. His grasp of the language had been somewhat tenuous at best, and so he was often made to study and learn. Some children whispered that he was the son of the witch who lived in the nearby forests that had been a legend, though of course, this was mostly just their imaginations at work. Still, Alecsandri became curious about magic and witchcraft as a result, and read up on whatever he could of them.
When he was ten, an aged man named Viktor Hazumura came to the orphanage. He claimed to be the grandfather of the young boy, whose parents had disappeared in Saint Petersburg five years earlier. Viktor was a cold and harsh man, who had little love for his daughters choice of husband, and the two had run off together as a result. Due to this, it had taken some time for Viktor to learn of his grandsons existence, though as a result of the boys amnesia, he figured 'Alecsandri' was as good a name as any. He took Alecsandri home to Japan with him, where he expected the boy to become a worthy member of the family.
As it turned out, Alecsandri was of Russian-Japanese descent. In the past, the Alexandrov family in Russia had made a deal with the Hazumura's, which involved the marriage of their daughter to the Hazumura son. The child of this union was Viktor himself, and he would later marry his second-cousin, Anna. This was to be a tradition, and the root of it was, as Alecsandri would learn, to keep each child born as the bearer of a seal on a demon. This demon had plagued the Alexandrov's, and the Hazumura's, skilled exorcists, had been hired to dispose of it. As the Hazumura's had been dying out, the promise of keeping the clan alive through these arranged marriages was for the best interests of both families.
Alecsandri's mother was to have been the second seal after Viktor's passing, but with her gone missing and presumed dead, Alecsandri was all that remained. Alecsandri, though, refused to take the families name to his grandfathers astonishment, and to his rage, refused the entire ordeal. There was no reason for him to care about either family, as he had never had a family. Despite his outrage, Viktor respected the iciness in Alec's demeanor, and so continued to pay for his lessons and strict tutelage. Though he had no interest in what his grandfather had planned for him, Alecsandri welcomed the opportunity to learn and was an avid student.
As he would later discover, however, there had been a grievous mistake. At sixteen, Viktor's daughter returned, with her husband, and daughter. As Alecsandri had told himself, and Viktor, these people were not his family. Viktor felt disgusted at having invested so much energy in the boy, but as his legal guardian, paid for him to live in an apartment in the city and continue attending his private school. This was, to Alecsandri, perfect. Secluded and able to continue learning without the silly prattling of ancient fools about old promises he cared nothing about.
His 'grandfathers' teachings, though, remained deeply embedded in him. A mans duties were the most important thing, if he abandoned them, he abandoned his purpose. Even if Alecsandri had turned his back on his so-called familial duties, he believed in later years that that was merely fated, as it wasn't his true duty. To him, extending his knowledge on all things was most important to him, and he hungered to learn more. While attending college for whatever courses he pleased, he worked within the colleges massive library, studying even in his spare time. Sciences, philosophy, arts and cultures, history, astrology, psychology, but none so enthralled him as the ancient stories of mythology and magics, something that seemed to haunt him his entire life. He believed, if not in a religious sense the existence of gods, a whole different truth. That Gods existed within Men, and that the world and universe was theirs to shape if only they could find the means.
And then, he learned of KAFIR... and the gift he possessed known as Persona...
I will find it, that precious thing that I lost
Never more, because I’m sure your voice will guide me
